Creating an NFT

Creating an NFT is simple on DPub, but there are decisions that you have to make upfront about how you want the NFT to be set up.

There are three key steps to creating the NFT.

1. Setup the NFT information

2. Create the Token

3. Mint the NFT

All three steps are simple to do inside of DPub and take no technical knowledge.

Start by Adding your NFT!

To start the NFT process, simply click the "+ NFT" button on the NFT dashboard. This will take you to your new NFT (in draft mode) to Create and Mint.

You can edit NFT information that is in Draft mode. Once published, the NFT is published on the Hedera network and can not be changed.

Types of NFTs supported in DPub

DPub currently supports two types of NFTs. One of one, and one of many. This means that you will create a unique NFT that will either have a quantity of 1 (unique) or many (quantity greater than one). Every serial number will share the same image and metadata (name, description, creator name, and image).

There is another kind of NFT that is currently unsupported in DPub - unique serial numbers. This is typically for generative art projects where there is a single token id with unique metadata and images for each serial number.

Saving your NFT

As you make changes, your NFT will automatically be saved. There are no save buttons.
